The School of Education is hosting an accreditation visit by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) in December, 2014. Interested parties are invited to submit third-party comments to the visiting team.


Accreditation Comment Guidelines:

Please note that comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the party’s relationship to the Educator Preparation Program (EPP) (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates). We invite you to submit written testimony to:

Correspondence, which must be received by CAEP no later than three months prior to visit, will be submitted to the EPP for response via CAEP’s Accreditation Information Management System (AIMS). CAEP will not upload anonymous comments to the BOE team or EPPs.
Beginning Summer of 2014, SOE will be offering Library Science coursework to lead to an endorsement for school librarians. Enrollees must be cleared for registration by June 9, 2014.

SOE is now accepting applications for the next cohort of the Masters in Reading Online Program. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2014. The cohort will begin Summer 2014.
